Dakota Digital Guage
Installation

One thing I don't like about the JC Cosmo instrument cluster is the lack of what I see to be crucial guages, such as Boost, Oil Pressure and Oil Temp.

Wanting to keep with the digital theme of the car, I searched far and wide for the ulimate guage. After about 9 months, I discovered a company called, Dakota Digital. www.dakotadigital.com

This was just what I was looking for. I ordered the following gauges. Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost/Vac, Ambient Air temp, Air temp after turbo, Air temp after intercooler.

OK, the first thing to do after they arrived was to pull em apart. YES, thats right, I only want to mount the actual guage, none of the front case portion as it may become to light to read.
Now to cut the blue perspex so that it can sit closer to the actual FL Display. I also disabled the backlighting which told you what guage it was. I didn't need this function.

After these mods, I glued them back into their own cases and left to set over night. Next was to install them in the car. This was a huge job..!

I had to cut holes in the dash to house the new guages. Then there was all the wiring etc. The whole job took around two weeks to complete.

I still have to hook one of the sender units for the air temp up, thats what the EE display says. But it is now all back together, and I can finally see what boost I am running as well as other vital functions.
