Full re-spray

OK, now that the guards have been flared and the SAS98 is over, it is time to get the guards fixed up by a panel beater. The paint had cracked from the flaring and I wanted to get a couple of places touched up also.

I contacted the guys at Wyoming Smash up at the Central Coast and they agreed to perform the work, The first thing to do was repair the guards and prepare them for painting.

At this point I made the decision to get the whole car rubbed back and re-painted. Alan from Wyoming Smash carried out all of the work. The front and rear bumpers as well as the mirrors, tail lights and head lights were removed so that the job could be done properly.
OK, here are some pics of the car 30 minutes after it has just been sprayed. It was wheeled outside. I was amazed how good it looked straight off the gun. Alan added blue perl to the paint for something different. The car has been put back together now and they want me to come back in 3-4 weeks so that they can buff it back. This should work out good for the Melbourne Auto Salon on August 29-30.
