In late 1989 I needed a car to get me to and
from work and decided to look for something a little different. I looked
around and found a car that I liked the looked of and bought it. It was a 1984 Mazda
Cosmo. This was my first Cosmo and is a totally different car to my current HB Cosmo. It
was powered by a 2 Litre OHC piston motor which was rated at around 65Hp. Although it
wasn't the fastest thing around I liked it and started to do things to make it look
better. First to go was the factory wheels, I bought a set of Cheviot Bathurst 5 spoke
wheels and Yokohama 352 - 215-60-14 tyres. A few months later I decided I wanted a decent
stereo system so bought the following and installed it myself.

After the stereo system install I decided I wanted to change the
engine. A few of my friends had Rotary powered cars and I thought, well a variation of my
car did come out with a 12A Turbo engine so I decided to go with that.

Installing the 12A Turbo Motor was a big job that took over 2
months to complete. The wiring of the Fuel Injection Computer was a nightmare as no-one
knew how to do it. In the end we accomplished it. It went hard.!

After installing the new motor and finally getting the car
running right, it was stolen from my house. The following photos are of what was left of
it when the police finally found it.
