Ok here's the story:
Crash 1: 1995 I drove my (first) rx-7 for 2 years now and
never had a problem with it. Until that day. It was one of these days too may things to
do, so little time to do it in. Rush, rush. I was already accelerating fast before the last slight
left hand turn out of my hometown (the speed limit is 50Kph there), I must have don that a
hundred times before, but only this time I kept accelerating and went
into the turn with a speed far above 80 Kph (I'm keeping my real speed a
secret, those
speeds are considered a criminal act in The Netherlands and I'm lucky to get out of it
alive and without a fine, no witnesses) The turn has a brickyard road
surface it a bit
bumpy. As you might have guested my rx-7 began to bump, understeer, I turned the
steering wheel further to the left (overcorrection) and got a heavy oversteer left into the
inside of the left turning corner, I turned 60 degrees left and hit a tree standing on the
left side after the turn and turned backwards and hit the Vauxhall standing behind the
tree with the rear end of my Rx. The Vauxhall ended up in the front garden of a
house, total loss.(crash2.jpg;crash3.jpg and rear1.jpg) I got out of the Rx completely black and
blue, some scratches and a concussion. I had hit everything of the interior of my Rx
with my head! Lucky me, there where no witnesses (my speed was way too high, keep thinking
of normal Rx-7's cruising speeds on Highways, above 120Kph) and there where no
cars coming from the opposite direction. I was hitting a tree and a car on the
wrong side of the road, I don't want to know what happened if I had hit a car coming
from the opposite direction.
(by the way, the car in the background of
"towingcompay1.jpg" was a Honda civic (deadly car accident), the result
of head Collison with a car coming from the opposite direction and happened a week
before on the highway at a speed above 120Kph)
Lucky me!
