Datsun Bluebird vs. Pajero

Hi this is what my friend did to his Datsun Bluebird.
They were on their way up Kalamunda hill when he went round a corner and
lost control crossed the line and got hit by a Mitsubishi Pajero which
tore the front end off the bluebird and threw the engine across the road
hitting a wall. Both the people in the bluebird and the Pajero passengers
walked away unharmed. He only had the Bluebird two days
and he wrote it and the Pajero off as well.
The reason why the front end came off like that was due to rust and the front
had been welded on!!!.
